Description

Made from a lovely drapey cotton blend with a slight stretch. Bodice pattern is Simplicity 2444. The size I traced was slightly too small in the bust and waist, but I knew if I went up a size I’d be swimming in the shoulders. Added 1.5 inches to the bust and waist.

Did a basic gathered skirt instead of the pleated a-line the pattern has. Added gathered sleeves to match. I much prefer the bow tied in the back instead of the front like the pattern calls for.

I couldn’t find an invisible zipper the right color and instead of a hot pink one, I just did black(lazy, I know). Kind of like the line it gives it anyway.

Material Notes

stretch cotton blend

Gorgeous color for the fall! I like the black zipper line, too, actually, especially with the bow!

    Looks nice, like the color!!

Used the same pattern for a LBD but used the pleats no bow, no collar used sleeves also for DD, crepe back satin fabric, kind of an Audrey Hepburn look.
