Initially I planned to make a cape, but this fabric is extremly lightweighted, so I thought it would not guarrantie a perfect drape. Hence I searched for an altenative pattern, for a jacket or coat. My Choice fell on this short coat. This sixtiesstyle pattern with a slight A line will go well with the rasberrycolor. But the soft and cosy woolfleece needs additional support and more stabilitt , I lined it with matching polyesterlining and did an extra backing or underlining with a thin viscose fabric. These three layers will make the drape soft, will give more depth and warmth.
For the front facing I used an elastic cotton fabric witch looks a little Ruetro, also it is quite thin, it will not produce extrbuckles or additional thickness. For closing I covered press studs with polyesterlining .
This coat turned out to be extremly comfortable , light, but stable and very warm. My favorite coat this winter! Who wants to know more about it, Visite my Blog
