I bought this boucle fabric more than 5 years ago with the intention to make a Chanel inspired jacket out of it. But since that time, I changed my mind (and actually was offered a nice Chanel inspired jacket by my husband), so I decided to make a mid-season coat instead!
I like the colourful boucle fabric but it’s so a nightmare to cut and sew it!!! The thread of the fabric goes off from everywhere (ok, I put some interfacing but not enough it seems…), and the fabric, even if not so lightweight, is really changing shape. To make a long story short, I finally made it, but it has some small defects, and I am not completely satisfied. At least, I got the techniques for jackets and the how tos for lining !
