Description

After welcoming my baby girl into the world, I have finally returned to my sewing machine! (It only took me a year…)

This project is for a friend. She ordered a t-shirt that was sized waaaaay smaller than she expected. The tag says large, but as you can see on the “before” side of the pictures, it was super tight across the hips of my dress form, and I consider myself to be a solid medium.

I found a moss green jersey that nicely matched the lettering in the logo and inserted panels into the side to size the shirt up.

I was a little challenged in this since I do not have a serger or an overlock machine. I had to rely on zig-zag stitches. I also did one solid panel going up the side and into the sleeve rather than do separate side panels and sleeve panels with a seam in the underarm which may not have been the best idea.
