Radiant Orchid

Added Mar 2, 2014

Kingston, Jamaica

Radiant Orchid is the colour for 2014 which is a harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink. The shade of purple can intrigue the eye and spark the imagination.

So excited to have found a print in the hue that I absolutely love. It is a beautiful stretch velvet.

I let the fabric sell itself by making a simple sleeveless dress and then adding a pleated collar in the radiant colour to add more interest. The collar is really complementing the print and it is made from stretch satin.

I am so in love with it :-) I paired it with my cardigan from here: and I wear it to church yesterday.

Material Notes

1 yd stretch velvet
1/4 yd stretch satin

Wow – what can I say – You look absolutely awesome!! The color is perfect for you and I like very much the details you’ve done with the collar. I’ve made this jacket in black and for sure I wanna have one in white as well :-) You’re a great seamstress Kisses!
