I love your choice of fabrics! It’s very classy. As for the unfinished edges inside, what about using some binding tape… (is that what its called?)

i did it like she did here: Box Bag Tutorial except i cut 12.5×17.5″ rectangles and used 1/4" seam allowances. in hindsight, i should have added a little tab near the zipper to make unzipping it easier.
