I made this as a gift, and just love the way it came out. I measured the machine and added and inch for clearance and seams. I free handed the pattern- a long rectangle to lay over and smaller rectangles for the end which I basically cut the corners off the top to make the curve. I finished my pre-quilted fabric with double sided binding inside and around the bottom, just to make it nice and clean looking. The heavier fabric and the binding made it stand up nicely.
For added detail you could add piping to where the ends are attached.
Pre-quilted fabric - some of the pre-quilteds do not come with finished backs, but I got the kind that did so I wouldn't feel the need to line it.

That is adorable!!! And I also wanted to do the piping in those seams on my cover, but I didn’t have enough fabric to enclose the piping, so I left it as it was. Now I regret that I completely forgot about pre-quilted fabrics (and I myself don’t quilt, unfortunately) – yours looks soooo pretty!!!
