McCalls Patter 6338
This was a Nancy Zieman McCalls pattern.
I basically ignored all the instructions because I wanted a quilted carrier. I used the pattern for the pattern template only. I changed the construction by using a traditional quilting method. I sandwiched the Top, insulated quilt batting, and backing then quilted with a 1 1/2 inch diamond pattern. Finished by seam binding with 1 1/2 inch bias tape. Nancy’s instructions called for seaming a length of fabric and then turning inside out (making a long narrow tube of fabric) and attaching to the carrier to serve as handles. Not enough bulk or substance for me. I put batting inside the handles, quilted them by sewing seams akin to top stitching on each side of the handles then attached them to the carrier via Nancy’s instructions. Much nicer product than the formal pattern would have produced…just sayin. Bunch of my friends want one!

Love it! You should make more and sell ’em! On this website or even Etsy. So cute and functional.
