Description

Quilted advent calendar with pockets for goodies.

Made following "this tutorial:http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=863 with a few minor alterations; I used my own number layout and pieced the binding out of the leftovers from the pockets. I made two, one for me and one for my brother, identical except the order of the pockets have been mirrored horizontally and vertically for the second one, and the bindings are different.

    Gosh you will need a lot of gifts for each pocket ! At one time when I was not very well off I gave " favours " as a gift — so with a printed card that offered things like - homemade scones your favourite meal – morning coffee at our favourite cafe ( on me ) etc - The recipient of the card gift handed it to me when it suited them. It was quite fun and I decorated the cards appropriately.
