Mc Lean, Virgini...
I made this because I wanted to learn how to applique. I made it before I had a sewing machine, so it is all hand work. I checked out a book from the library and saw a picture that inspired this quilt, but the book didn’t have patterns, so I made my own.
I don’t remember how much fabric I used, but it wasn’t much. Probably no more than half a yard for the black and maybe 3/4 of a yard for the backing. The rest of the colors were no more than a quarter of a yard. I used all Jenny Beyer fabric because her store is down the street from where I live. The finished size is about 20×26.
