My friend’s wedding is soon and I’ve just finshed sewing this. Hope they like it. I’ve used Heather Moore’s cotton , this came in a pack of fat quarters from www.fabricrehab.co.uk. I wouldn’t have normally put these together but I think they work really well. The fabric is cut into rectangles, resewn and then quilted with wavy lines . I used 4oz wadding inside so its nice and cosy.
cotton, Heather Moore.

The quilt you have made for your friends wedding is beautiful and the colours in the fabric go so well together. I love quilts and have made quite a few over the years and I always love the most simplistic ones the most. You have chosen a pattern that lets the fabric do the talking!! I had a quilting teacher who would buy the cheapest, ugliest fabrics and put them together and they would always look amazing. She taught me to keep the pattern simple and see what would transpire. You have made a beautiful job of this quilt and I am sure your friends will be thrilled with it.

Many thanks for your comments…. patchwork is a great way of using bits of fabric( even the ugly bits!)
