I meant to make the “quick party skirt” from the how-to section of this site, but my computer quit on me before I got all the instructions. I figured I had the gist of it, though, so I made this skirt with a little help from my mom. I wondered why it didn’t gather much, but then I realized that, while I’d gotten most of the instructions down, I hadn’t cut two big pieces to gather, I just made one (slightly bigger than the instructions said) and cut it in half. So it doesn’t gather much, but I kind of like it that way. Simple miniskirt that isn’t quite like the quick party skirt I’d planned, but nice nonetheless!

Oh I like the added pockets to this one! I’m looking to make a black miniskirt off of the Sidonie pattern but I’m not sure how to go about adding pockets. Any tips?
