In december I sewed for my sister a bag and she loved it, especially its fabric. She asked me for her birthday in march for a top or blouse made of the same fabric. But wait, it’s not so easy as you think, my little sister! We live 900 km far of each other, so what if it doesn’t fit? (And I was sure, it wouldn’t.) So I told her to measure up herself where she wants to wear a skirt, and how long it should be, and I made this quick party skirt. I wanted to play safe, so instead of adding a zipper, I added an undrelap to the back left side and made 3 buttonholes on the front left side, so she could adjust the proper width on the waist. For surprise I sewed a cute bow, too.
In april we met finally and she was happy with her late birthday skirt, and so was I.
Sorry for the poor picture, it’s me, but I’m two sizes bigger than her, that’s why the skirt doesn’t sit on me well. As soon as she sends me some pics, I’ll update.
I’m not really sure, something poly-cotton blend, 3 buttons
