I have made this pattern so many times and in so many different ways that I thought I might share a few. The pattern is ‘Quick change trousers’ from the book ‘Handmade Beginnings’ by Anna Maria Horner. The trousers have wide, roomy legs, an elastic waistband, are reversible and feature a really cute panel across the top of the bum for a contrasting fabric. I have made these reversible and in a single layer. I have made them in flannel for pyjamas, denim, quilting cotton and a mixture of all of these (denim or cotton on the outside and flannel on the inside make for really warm, toasty trousers). The pattern is sized from 3 – 24 months but I have also made the largest size longer to fit my four old!
