I was determined to fit one more costume into my halloween at the last minute and although I had abandoned my Elizabethan Unicorn, I was set on a Pierrot or harlequin clown. I found a great video tutorial by a visual learner for visual learners, which was the best tutroial I think I’ve every come across. I only spent a couple of hours on my ruff and it was not made from stiff fabric. Rather lining satin from a vintage wedding dress I had found. Therefore it is quite floppy, but I still love the outcome and feel really good about it since it was a rush job. a few more hours and the right materials (stiffer fabric, or ribbon will make for a GREAT end result! Here is the YouTube Tutorial
Satin Lining.
