I have been making this Cleopatra costume for way too long now. It still isn’t finished (you can probably see the basting stitiches) but I’m hoping to motivate myself to see it through!
The gold fabric has been gathered and applied to a pre-purchesed corset base. It’s very simply made, with ruching up the center front creating some lovely folds and drapes. Strings of gold beads are hung from the center of the bust. I made a collar out of a felt semi-circle, appliqueing gold trims around the edge. Cleopatra lives again!
Possibly used a stretch gold lame used here if such a thing exists? It was an off-cut with no info about its origins. The collar was made from synthetic balck felt. Strung plastic gold beads and gold trims were used for decoration
