I am in love with this lycra fabric from KOBO Fabrics on ebay – sexy, sassy, feels like a second skin and perfect for a summer dinner date.
The design is loosely based on a dress from Burda 5/2010, but I added the high neck, just because I love them )))) I didn’t use the pattern itself, just drafted a similar sleeve line on top of the top pattern 122 from 4/2011 and followed the dress sewing instructions. It was a super fast project- and here’s the result. It looks well with accessories, like black belt etc, but I will add the shots later- it was sort of a “quicky” photo shoot

Wow! So simple and chic! I like the way you played with the motif of the fabric!

this is freaking awesome – I never think to sew with Lycra – it always reminds me of bathing suits and bad 80’s clothing – but this is truly elegant, sexy and very very you! great job!

thank you, I discovered the joys of lycra and will be experimenting more with this awsome fabric- the key is the print!
