With much deliberation, finally made an outfit for a wedding in December. Has this intense purple sheer coloured material bought at a fabric sale. At the time of purchase, I had no idea what to make with it. I just loved the colour. Thankfully when I decided to make a dress, there was enough fabric.
Used up almost every bit of fabric.
Ran out of lining fabric which I had bought for this fabric at the sale too. Had to use another shade of purple for the skirt piece, as none of the fabric shops I went to had that particular deep purple pongee I bought two years ago.
The dress’s pattern is a frankenpattern of burdastyle 11/2011 #120’s bodice and sleeves, combined with burdastyle 06/2010 #126’s pleated waistband and skirt.
Sheer, see-through fabric lined with purple pongee.
