Description

This pattern is from the Dutch sewing magazine Knipmode 03-2016. In the magazine it looked limp so in my version I interfaced the whole outer and used a thick polyester cotton ribbed sateen fabric. I love the lines of this jacket. I cut a size smaller (44) than the pattern suggested ( 46- as the magazine version looked oversized) and as I am short I cut 16cm from the length. This was surprisingly quick to sew and I love the end result. If I sewed it again I would interface both the collar and flap inner and outer to give added crispness.

Thanks Iris, I like those features too. They were surprisingly easy to sew. The fabric is from Birmingham Rag Market at £4 per meter!

Your coat looks great! It is a lovely colour and I really like the sleeves and the back.
