Description

I like the simplicity of the Anda dress and already made one without changing the pattern much (which I might post on here someday) but I decided to change neckline on this dress to make it more of a square/scoop neck.
I also added gray buttons and bound cording to the bodice. I thought it would give it a cute vintage look without it being frilly.
This is the tutorial I used to learn how to make the cording: http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/vintage-details-surface-cording-tutorial
A side note— This fabric rubs purple dye onto some surfaces. I think I’ll have to wash it by itself before I wear it again. Also, I think I will add side seam pockets to this dress, I didn’t think of doing that until I wore it the first time.

Material Notes

Purple Linen, gray buttons.

I ended up installing the pockets right after I posted these pictures. They turned out well, you can barely see them from the outside. It definitely would have been easier if I’d done it while I was making the dress instead of having to tear out French seams.

I love the colour (even if it does spread itself around…) and the changes to the bodice – it looks very pretty indeed! Really think it’s time to attempt my own Anda!
