I combined the AWESOME “Ooh La Leggings” pattern with the equally awesome Suziplex fabric I bought in Montreal to make the ultimate in running legging comfort. Honestly these are even better quality than the high priced athletic brands, and cost me about a tenner! I also shared a tutorial for my favourite elastic waistband technique so you can have comfortable waistbands, too!

Muted purple Suziplex, which is the house-brand supplex from Suzi Spandex in Montreal. They claim it’s far superior to regular supplex, and I’m inclined to agree! LOVE this stuff!

I think I love you. No, really. I JUST got back from a run, still sitting here in my sweaty grossness, and thinking I really need to update my athletic wardrobe. My late 90s/early aughts men’s hiking shorts are just not cutting it. You’ve made me think twice about swearing off sewing workout gear.

thanks! You should totally go for it! Exercise gear is one of the few areas where it actually makes financial sense to sew your own. I ran in the above outfit last night at my running crew (10km in 45min, yowzers!) and I can safely say that these are the most comfortable running tights I’ve ever owned. I’m in love!
