First of all I have to admit I’m a bit of a DIY freak.
A couple of months ago I saw a cape coat on a store and I liked the idea but not the fabric, so I thought, “this is just a circle with a hole to put my head in, why don’t I make one?” when I told my mom that, she looked at me and told me “Ok, but where’s the pattern?” I told her I wanted to try without a pattern even if I end up ruining the fabric, just for the fun.
I made a semicircle of 70 cm radius on paper and then cut 3 pieces to make my pattern. The hood was copied from a sweatshirt I like.
For the rounded hem I cut a piece of cardboard with that shape and ironed the fabric, then I hand-sewn it.
I really like the result and it was a lot of fun.

wow this cape is amazing!!! and your instructions were very clear!!!! I like them. Since i was a little girl my dream was having this fairytale cape to wear for winter… but to be honest i havent been in the mood for sewing with all this cold winter here in my country.. so im guessing this is a perfect time to make my own cape and share it with the world. thank u!!!!
