This dress has a back story, as many do. I started sewing it more than a year ago. It was self-drafted and I became frustrated with the back. So I put it in my “Finish Someday” box. A year later I plucked it out and had a new vision for it. Forget symmetry! I added all kinds of pieces that made it different on each side. It was so much fun! Finally I finished it and just in time to take photos with my neighbor’s beautiful purple jacaranda tree.
Everything is cotton.
Dress up outerwear with deep shawl collars and sew up a lovely fitted dress with a flounced hemline.
