Installing the zipper was so hard and I’m not sure I did it properly, but it’s wearable.

I know what you mean with the zipper. Every time I sew a project with the zipper in the front, I have to think a while to make it right… This way to sew a zipper in, is the most dificult one. But it looks, as if you made everything right! By the way, this is a very nice skirt and as I can sea, purple suits you well ;O)
