Description
One of my favorite skirts – it has a very simple form, slightly A-shaped. The lace required pattern without darts, since it had wide ornament holes, so I chose this patern. The waist yoke is made out of purple flannel I had in my fabric repository (I was quite surprised the colors of the fabrics matched that well!). The lining is made out of simple lining cloth, but satin would be a better fabric choice, since the cloth I used rumples a lot when I sit. Maybe I’ll replace it with satin. The invisible zipper is placed on the left side. I have to add – this skirt is a real eye catcher wherever I go :).

This is so pretty! I have a piece of lace similar to this only it is green and I’m not sure what color lining to use. The light color of the lining on your skirt looks good against the darker lace…maybe I will consider the same for my piece! Thanks for the inspiration!
