I didn’t really like an inexpensive top that I bought recently but I liked the style, so I made a paper pattern from it so that I could copy it. I found a pretty shimmery purple stretch knit fabric in my stash that was just waiting to be made into something like this top.I had fun trying to figure out how to put this thing together. The seam at the underarm and side was a bit complicated to figure out. (this is actually a sleeved top – not a cape). This is my first time making a garment with stretch knit , It was a good learning experience and I probably will make more of these.

I would like to tell you how to do this but I guess I would have to do a miniature drawing of the pattern to explain how and I don’t really know how to send that out in a reply.

This is really cute! I am starting one just like it, and the sleeves are challenging :)
