I really loved this design from the May 2012 Burda magazine – such a simple but chic skirt, and very easy with no zippers or fastenings, so it’s great for beginners, too. Make sure you choose your fabric very carefully, though! You need something with substance (to not show every bump) but with a LOT of stretch (to get the waist portion over your hips) and recovery (to keep the high waist snug against your waist). Mine doesn’t have enough lycra so the waist portion sagged throughout the day.
