I remember this fabric being in my grandmothers fabric closet for years and I thought it would be perfect for a new pattern I had bought, Mccalls 5845. I really liked this pattern. It has a full lining and it fits in very neatly and easily. I lined it with a light purple silky lining. I especially love the back.

Great dress, and great job! I always fear that using my floral fabrics for a dress will look dowdy, but you have proven that with the right choice of fabric and accessories (that belt is key!) it is possible to look modern and chic in a floral. Now which one shall I try. . . :)

Thank you so much. I like abstract or really bright florals. I’d love to see what you make!

Beautiful fabric and a great location in which to show it off. The colour and style work well with your complexion and body shape.
I have too agree with you I also like the back detailing, but I was not to sure about the choice of belt, but I does work giving it your personal touch.

I just made this pattern recently and as I was looking through the projects, thought, “Hmm, that cut looks awfully familiar…” I love what you’ve done with this pattern! The dress looks elegant and feminine and the back is like wow!

I love this dress!! The cut is perfect, the fabric is soo amazing and very in style. I swear you could probably find something similar in a high fashion magazine selling for hundreds but without the felling of success in making such a beautiful dress. and now this has reminded me to take pics of some of my recent projects and upload them, I’m soo lazy. but seriously this dress is gorgeous on you :)

i love it. The fabric, the fit. I just finished a McCall’s pattern and I’m really liking the fit of their patterns. Great job!
