Ever since I tried on a dirndl at a local fashion store, I wanted to have my own. After my friends and me went to the Oktoberfest in Munich last year (with four of the girls actually wearing dirndls!), owning a dirndl kind of became an obsession for me. And this year, with at least three visits to traditional fairs in southern Germany (the only place where a girl like me, from the North of Germany, can actually wear a dirndl without feeling utterly stupid), I can finally give in to my obsession :)
