Description

This is the first dress that I’ve ever made, and it turned out great! I wasn’t so sure if the size would fit me, so I made it extra big, and pinned it in afterwards so it would be the perfect size.

It is a very comfortable dress, and a easy project for beginners like me. Thanks for the pattern!

    what kind of fabric did u used for this dress? i’m a novice and i really want to do this as my first dress. looks very elegant and it suits you.

      The fabric I used is from Joann Fabrics. It was in the knit section. It’s a bit thicker than regular jersey fabrics, which is nice because it isn’t so clingy.

      My fabric was a bit stretchy, so I just went really slow to make sure that i wasn’t pulling the fabric too much as I sewed. Otherwise the seams wouldn’t be nice and smooth.

      I think this is a really good dress to start with. It’s just a front piece and a back piece sewn up the sides. I’d highly recommend trying it as your first!

    I just made the same dress for my first as well! I think we even chose the same fabric/color. I made mine a bit longer than the pattern, so I could wear it to the office. A great pattern for us beginners. You look great in it as well.
