San Pedro De Mon...
I made this dress more than a year ago. The lovely purple and bronce silk chiffon, is cut on the bies, so the movement is just wonderfull and it shows the 2 colors so nicely!!! The pleating is just broomstick hand pleating, and is done to about the knee, because I marked like a big zig zag and left that part without pleating, because I wanted lots of movement and pleating makes the silk a bit stiff….At the top, I made a ribbon in the same color organza, that was embroidered in gold with a small design and then we hand embroidered with tiny beads in same color of the dress and antique gold seeds. For the chawl, I use the same design as in the ribbon, but in different sizes, and machine embroidered again in the same color but in silk organza, fill the paisley with beads and cut them one by one, and then aply them on to the shawl. I hope you like it!!! By the way, I invite you to visit my blog to learn couture finishings……Rainforestcouture
