For this top, I cut a plaid shirt off just at arm-pit level in a sweet-heart neckline shape, finished the edge with white bias trim, and made straps out of blue rickrack sandwiched between strips of purple polyester. I added a fully-lined pocket to the lower left side made of the same purple fabric. The rick-rack/fabric strap idea was solely my own, and I’m pleased with how it turned out.

It is cute, but it seems a little weird on the colors. Pretty good though, and I love the design!
