Linen, I love it, as long as it is softened. I created this dress pattern for this linen fabric, from the idea that you can add shape with tucks, darts, pleats and pockets, you can create art with linen. I called the pattern Pur Jus. I used a twisted neckband which I learnt from Marcy Tilton’s tutorials, but also you can find a tutorial on burdastyle. I drafted a pocket after the dress was made. Have only attached one, I must get on and attach the other! The pocket is ‘floating’, attached only at the top.
The linen had a great stretch in the bias. No need to line this dress. Love wearing it and have plans to make many more. .
