I made a corsetted to with eyelet back, then for the bottom of the dress I used an exercise ball as my shape, drafting a pattern from the globe-like shape to have it be as rounded as possible. There are three crinoline pettiskirts attached at the waist to give it volume. I had no pleating foot for my machine at the time, so the petticoats took almost as much time as the dress itself.
The top layer is made of a shredded lace stiched s=down to a fine fabric, lined with balck as the top half was very sheer. The bottom half is the shredded lace on top, with crinoline underneath.
