Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Years ago I found this old bathingsuit in a secondhandstore that I just LOVED. Not the model, it didn’t suit me at ALL, but the material. Oh, the colours (and I’m usually all black, blue, white and grey)! It took a while before I dared to cut in it, but eventually I made it into this bikini. The edges and straps are made of black swimsuit lycra. I made the pattern using a pair of knickers and an old bikini as models, and made a couple of test-bikinis from an old t-shirt first. It still came out a bit too low in the front so I only use it when sunbathing… no swimming in the waves in this one!
