Description
I used this super 80’s style leather jacket that was way too large to wear ,and a long peachy colored dress. I first made my own pattern in muslin then used it create the pieces out of the jacket and dress. I used spray fabric paint on the peach dress pieces to create a splattered look. The leather bodice and middle piece have style lines that were on the jacket sleeve. I used my iron to pleat the ruffle on the top and to add interfacing to prevent the leather from stretching. I also used the iron to turn up the hem and make sure the seams lay flat.

Fabulous! Excellent re-make from something scary to something gorgeous… and wearable! Also, really love the splattering… I’ve been doing some splattering lately – it’s so fun and messy, but effective.
