For this project, I decided to take a dress that I wore when I was twelve and turn it into something I could actually FIT! Taking out all the seams was the most tedious part but it was worth it. Now I have a fun, flirty, party dress made from my old banquet dress and I coupled it with a black jersey knit fabric to give it a more casual feel (well, that and I ran out of fabric).
The jersey was easy to iron but the other “unknown” fabric was too much for my poor almost dead iron to handle! My old but trusty iron was however able to assist with the adding of the gem accessories that I decided to re-use making the fabric flat enough to sew over.
