Sketch for 15 minutes
Shop for ½ hour with a $75 budget
Design a garment using the hat provided as inspiration
12 hours of sewing time
For this three piece garment I started with the cape. I wanted to use real leather, but my budget couldn’t afford it. I used faux leather instead and cut leaf/feather shapes out using an exacto knife. The skirt I used matte back satin and made the print using fabric markers, it has pockets too! The easy, breezy tank is constucted from jersey, and I plan on making TONS of these for myself… just so flattering.
This whole outfit, with hat will be in a professional photo shoot some time in the upcoming weeks, so it isn’t for sale as of yet. I am remaking the cape in navy leather for the photo shoot, it will hang and drape so much better.
Faux leather, jersey, satin, ribbon.
