My first project – a Kasia – and I chose a fabric that was definitely not the best choice for the pattern. Oh well, it turned out really well anyway~ I also made the Afternoon Tea Top, though it’s hard to see in this photo. I used two layers instead of one – a thin teal and a black lace. In this photo is also another top, under the afternoon tea, that I designed and had a tailor make for me a couple of years ago.
Together they look great~

it’s not too bad, but if you have help it’s definitely better. if you’re good at following instructions you should be fine though~ go for it!

Well done on your first projects! I am making my third Kasia right now, I made my second one in a bad fabric choice too but as long as you learn from your mistakes then they weren’t for nothing :) You should try another Kasia in a better fabric, it will give you a confidence boost. Keep up the great sewing xx
