Thank you for the favorite!
The client was thrilled. I had a lot of fun with the belt.
I don’t think the dress would really flatter anyone unbelted.
Thanks again for the kind words, and have fun!

Thank you, Ivana! It’s a tricky dress to make and wear, but if everything goes right, it’s a show stopper! I had a lot of fun with the belt.

Thank you for the kind words, Ralf.
This dress is a nightmare to make, and frankly, I think the rating should be expert++
It was for a maid of honor, she looked terriffic, but I’m glad it’s over! The belt was the only fun I had….

I have seriously considered making this one, but I’m thinking it will make a short, slightly ovweight woman (me) look seriously dumpy- any thoughts?

Hi Jenny! It is a lot of draping. The woman I made it for is curvy, but she has a very trim waist and is tall. I’m not sure it would flatter without the small waist. The pattern doesn’t call for a belt, but NO ONE could wear it without one, it would be a disaster. If you decide to make it, I’ll give you some construction tips. As usual, Burda leaves a lot to the imagination regarding construction. :-)))

Unfortunately, this one was for a client. I have one in the works for me in a more sophisticated color. I am not getting younger, but I can get classier!
I would love to take you to dinner! It’s a date!
