My first stab at a pattern from the Burda magazine. I had some issues with the fit, mostly to do with the shoulder seam angling to the back, which I guess (looking at the pattern line drawing) is a design feature. Presumably I missed that when I was tracing it out ;). It also turned out pretty small, maybe because the fabric I used was very heavy. It turned out cute in the end, however. I omitted the pockets.

I love it! It must have been difficult to put it together using heavy fabric so congratulations because it does look amazing on you.

Very nice :) I’m wondering whether I bought the August Burda now…

Your jacket shows a great advantage of heavy wool fabric as well: it makes an impressive shape. It looks really good. However, I was wondering: was this pattern sized as a petite? I’m asking because it seems a bit short on you (jacket waist seems to sit above your waist) and ‘petite’ sizes would have a smaller back length.

yes, it is. I’m pretty short waisted through the body, so I didn’t bother to lengthen it, but probably adding half an inch to the length above the waist would’ve been a good idea :).
