I run occasional competitions where I get some of my fashion-focussed family and friends to tell me what to do with a certain fabric, based on various criteria. the person who submits the winning entry gets a special mystery personalised prize – “special mystery personalised” so that i can make the prize to fit the winner
This cape was the prize for my latest competition. it is reversible – a sort of showerproof powderblue with gold lurex thread suiting on one side, and soft black herringbone on the other. it also has a removable faux fur collar which i thought would really suit the girl who won. the button is actually a little brooch i made for this cape, because i simply cannot make nice button holes.
