Description

I made this shirtdress and belt using Vogue 8847 pattern in a Liberty of London silk crepe de chine. I love the easy to wear style, and the sewing was relatively simple with no buttons, zippers or anything else fiddly! I used silk organza to interface the front facing and the collar instead of fusible interfacing and I am very happy with that result.

Thank you! I like the print too. It reminds me of veins or a DNA strand or something. And it feels nice too!

Thanks Mary! I love the fact that it had no buttons or buttonholes to sew! Not that I don’t love me some pretty buttons, but they slow me down! ;)

What a great style of dress. I’m amazed it has no buttons or fastenings, which makes it even better.
