I was looking for an African type dress pattern to use this linen on, but I couldn’t find anything I liked that had sleeves (don’t like showing my arms right now as they’re a bit flabby :-)). In the end, I opted for a simple style as the fabric pattern in itself was already busy enough. I drafted this pattern myself. As you can see it’s a simple bodice with a midriff panel that anyone can make. I cut the back lower as I had seen on a Grace Kelly dress I had recently seen at an exhibition. The skirt is A-line with two pleats on each side (front and back). I added a 12" zip at the side. The belt is from my Greek Linen dress which is already in my studio.
Hope you like the simplicity of it.

Great job drafting it! It looks very professional. I love the fabric. I didn’t know there was printed linen available :-| Beautifully done.
