A dress I made for a wedding last year, inspired by the beautiful print from tessuti and the works of Mary Katranzou. I started with the burda style peplum top bodice, removed the darts and inserted a single piece that would wrap around from the front to the back, removed the zipper and made the sleeves a little longer (using the pattern piece already included), drafted a skirt, and kept the gathered sections on the side to maintain the symmetry on the front and back bodice.
You can see a little more about it on my blog: talk and texture
I made this out a digital print ponti (a heavy weight tight knit synthetic) that I bought from Tessuti Fabrics, in Melbourne
