Thanks for all the nice comments everyone, I’m glad you’re liking the hats :D Yeah the pattern confused me for the loooooongest time, I literally stared at it in confusion for about an hour at first ;p But after attempt #5 it kinda started coming together haha

Ha ha! Its what I do mostly. Worsted wool is double knit right?? I have some of that so I think I’ll stick at it. I’ll let you know how I get on! Will probably unravel at least another 10 time and chuck it across the room but I’m going to do it! :-)

Hi DIYindie Can you do me a favour and measure the diameter of your hat! I finally finished mine but its quite big, dont know if its that I have a tiny head or I have made mine too big (maybe too big hook, or fatter yarn).
Thanks :-)

Hi DIYindie What sort of wool did you use? Is it quite thick? I tried this over the weekend and it was massive (think my wool was a bit too huge). So I unravelled! Every hat I try and make never works! Any tips?

Hi. No the wool isn’t very thick, it’s Lion Brand Worsted Weight… recommended hook size is J-10… sorry I don’t know if any of that is helpful or not.
Hmmm hat tips? Well, haha, I pretty much do the same thing you just described, I unraveled that yellow hat 4 times I think (was doing double crochet wrong)… so I guess just really know your stitches and find some well written directions (I know the pattern I linked to is pretty confusing… let me know if you have any questions about that).
Hope that helped a little :)

I love this, I also want to try it. I had actually seen the pattern before but I love the way you’ve done it. Also the photo with the teddy is great.

Haha thanks, yeah I would have modeled it myself but it wasn’t a very “pretty” day – he does the job just fine ;)
