Pink and white padded & underwired bra. This is a collaborative project between myself and Daughter No2, who wanted to know how to make a bra. She chose the fabrics and notions from my stash and the pattern used is Elan #645. The White anglaise on the front was underlined by pink powernet, and a pink satin bow sits between the cups. As this was the first time she’d tackled something like this I didn’t want all the really pretty fabrics to be used, so now that this one has worked, another is already cut and ready to go! She did pretty well, and really only needed help from me in stitching the underwire channels in place (‘cause that’s tricky to get straight) and with some of the elastic.
Pink sparkly tricot, elastics, bra padding, jersey broiderie anglaise. Bra-bits all from Vena Cava Designs

I did actually have a lingerie weekend in May. There may be another come September, so if you are in the UK, check my blog for details for classes.

hi! They aren’t seperate cups, I actually bought the padding from http://www.fabulousfabric.co.uk/, per metre. At the moment their site is down, but they will send stuff out if you call.
