Pretty Paisley Blouse

Solana Beach, Ca...

The blouse pattern is made from Burda Style 124 from April 2007.
Wow, that reminds me of my how long I have been subscribing to Burda!
The pattern has a long front tie you can wear as a bow or left to hang freely. The sleeves are slightly gathered at the top and have a band at the bottom giving the blouse a youthful look. I used a light guaze material – a first for me. The pattern was easy but working with the material was a bit tricky.

Spring, Summer
Garment Type
Casual, Romantic

This blouse is gorgeous. I have had this blouse marked for all these years too and yours looks so lovely on that I will have to get it out and make it. Thank- you for sharing as it is always so good to see a home dressmaker sew a blouse worn by a model in a magazine, in real life. PS: I have been subscribing to Burda since 1974 when my sewing teacher at high school, taught me how to make a pattern from those big pattern sheets. Best ever lesson I had at school!

I bet it must be quite entertaining to look at the style changes through all those years of Burda!
Thanks so much for commenting on my blouse.
