A simple cotton dress made from McCall’s 5039. I made this several years ago but have only worn a few times.
1. I like the fit, but feel like a little girl when I wear it.
2. Despite adding a couple of inches when cutting out the bodice, the neckline tends to dip low and I find myself contantly tugging at it.
3. I’m considering refashioning it a bit, so I’ll wear it out more.
cotton fabric and a bit of lace for trim

I don’t think it makes you look like a little girl. I like it a lot!

I understand the tugging. I made a hobo type blouse and it is now in the mystery pile. But I recently read and article about how to fix that without redoing the top….Umm when I find it…I’ll reference it but I think it is in the SewNews Magazine.
