Description
A maternity sweater that I converted into leggings (using the sleeves) and a dress (with the bodice and neckline) for my infant. The flower embellishment was just a tube of leftover material that I twisted and added hand stitches til it resembled a flower (I thought so anyway). Wish I would have added sleeves instead because I don’t like how the armholes turned out. I don’t have anymore material to add them now (I tried a few other ideas that didn’t work either)

love it! I don’t see a problem with the armholes, but have you tried bias tape? I recently got a walking foot, and just this week was upcycling a wool sweater and was amazed at how well it stitched without stretching the felted wool even on the curved seams (was making a vest for baby). Anyway, Love your project – upcycling is so FUN!

I never even thought of bias tape (I have used it before and even have matching colours on hand). I have more sweaters to cut up though, so will try next time. Thanks
